HMariana’s Clinic by far offers the best results in electrolysis especially for skin with deep melanin.  You see I am Black.   African American skin is extremely beautiful while EXTREMELY sensitive and tends to scar easily, especially when penetrating the surface of the skin of which is the process in electrolysis. I started going to Mariana’s in the late 80’s and my most recent appointment was today the 8th of May 2013.    I’ve removed hair from various areas of the body (yes permanently) over the years with great success and absolutely NO NO scarring.  This business is highly recommended for great service, sensitivity to the clients individual needs, respect of the clients time and GrEAT RESULTS.  If you are a person of color, Black, African American, Asian, Mediterreanean, Hispanic etc. and have a need for electrolysis be careful all electrologists are not trained on YOUR skin.  Go to Mariana’s clinic and feel safe and know your sensitive skin will be cared for…

As a small business owner and customer of Marianna, I have been following Marianna’s reviews on Yelp this entire year. She is very much a top professional and a stand out in her field. When I saw her one star review earlier this year I knew it would be cancelled out by all the positive reviews to follow. Interestingly, Yelp did not update or upgrade her rating with any of the positive reviews and there were many, I know this because I wrote one. Every time I checked the Yelp web sight, the same poor review was still there and the great 5 star reviews were moved to the filter. That poor rating, one star review is STILL there!
Today, December 6, 2012, I saw a story on both ABC and CBS about Yelp being involved in a high profile law suit where they are apparently doing this same shady practice to other small businesses.
I hope Marianna finally gets justice with Yelp, she deserves to be righted for this poor treatment, but most importantly she deserves a BIG apology!

I lived in Chicago many years ago and was referred to Mariana’s Clinic by Northwestern’s Dermatology Department. She was terrific — fast and effective work! I moved away from Chicago and have since lived in Atlanta and San Francisco. I have never found anyone as good as she is. I was in town for a wedding and decided to try to find her again. I did and she is still fantastic. I tell you what she did in 1 hour would have taken the person I have gone to in San Francisco over a week! Plus she is so skilled that the procedure was practically pain free compared to what I have experienced since leaving Chicago. I WISH I LIVED CLOSER so I could go to her regularly. MARIANA IS SIMPLY THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!!! If my travels take me back to Chicago I will be making an appointment with her as often as I can.

here is what it said: I found Mariana off of yelp and chose her because of location convenience for me. I must say that I am very happy with her. Her office is very nice, clean and cozy. She is very professional and sweet. She sometimes runs 5 minutes late on her appointments but it is really worth it. She does an amazing job and the price is very reasonable.

I have been a client of Mariana’s for over 20 years, referred to her by friends here in Chicago who are still using her services for 25+ years. I had been to other electrologists prior to Mariana-her work is by far superior to any of the others. Okay, so I just googled Mariana’s to get the number so I could schedule an appointment and could not believe my eyes when I saw the review stating that she acted in any way other than completely professionally. I felt compelled to write my own review. I have been a customer of Mariana’s for years and originally became a customer following my esthetician who changed clinics. Mariana is always pleasant and professional and has never made a racist remark even in jest. She does not swear and is a lady through and through. She helped me shape my eyebrows for my wedding and has an eye for making women look their best.

She does excellent work too. For a time, I switched to another clinic on the north side so I wouldn’t have to pay for parking and the difference was noticeable and so I returned.

I will admit that Mariana is harder to reach than the clinic on the north side that I went to but that woman would take her calls during my session with her which was annoying and unprofessional. Most boutique clinics do not have a receptionist and that keeps the costs under control. All and all, I give this clinic two big thumbs up and would recommend her to anyone looking for permanent hair removal

INTERESTING THAT YELP KEPT MY POSITIVE REVIEW UP FOR ONE DAY BUT THEN TOOK IT DOWN AND LEAVES UP THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW. SEEMS BIASED AND UNFAIR. WHAT IS GOING ON YELP. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO POST AND KEEP UP ALL REVIEWS SO YOUR CUSTOMERS GET A TRUE VIEW OF A BUSINESS.

I have been a customer of Mariana’s for many years. She is an expert in her field. After trying numerous other electrolysis offices, I finally found perfection. Using Mariania allowed me the freedom to finally wear my hair behind my ears (not using it to cover my unsightly sideburns), as well as short sleeves in the summer. Not only did she change my life with her craft, I found her to be such a lovely person. She always remembers to ask me things i have told her on previous appointments. Our discussions cover life, relationships, and “hair”. She is immaculate, as is her office. I never had deep sores on my skin as i did else where. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. On my first appointment we discussed what type treatments I have used in the past for hair removal. After a few sessions the results have been really good, and I’ve never had any burns/injuries/anything else. I don’t think it’s painful at all. I used to get laser but it just thinned the hairs, so I switched and it’s been way better. Mariana is terrific as a person and as a practitioner ,very knowledgeable in her field and definitely put me at ease. I have found her facility to be nothing but professional, hygienic and very soothing (considering what you’re undergoing). . Highly recommend!

Electrolysis is a process of getting rid of unwanted hair. Problem is you might not know where to go. Many businesses are deceiving about how much they rely on electrolysis but they pluck most hair instead. Electrolysis is supposed to get rid of unwanted hair forever, it might take time and money to do, but it is worth it. I had been going to other places who were deceiving but when I found Mariana’s Clinic I knew it was accurate. I have been going to Mariana’s Clinic for years now and can find no better place to go then there. This past year I have been seeing great results and can find no error in her works. She is fast and efficient, and is a very very pleasant person. She is easy to talk to and is not judgmental. Her prices are very reasonable especially for the work she does.

After having an electrolysis consultation elsewhere, I came here. It was great! Compared to the other place, she was fast, it was less painful, and she gave me an assessment that was completely in line with getting the job done as soon as possible rather than trying to book me for a huge package of unnecessary sessions. The price was completely reasonable. I’m very pleased.
